Expert Payout Policy

Overview

BeeBridge allows verified experts to earn credits by answering paid consultation requests from other beekeepers. This policy explains how earnings are calculated, accumulated, and paid out.

How Expert Earnings Work

When a user creates a paid consultation, credits are locked from their wallet. The platform fee is 20% of the base cost only. Priority add-on credits go entirely to the expert.

The platform fee covers translation services, hosting, payment processing, and ongoing platform development.

Earning Lifecycle

1. Pending: When a paid consultation is created, the asker's credits are locked. Your earnings are not yet recorded.
2. Earned: When the consultation is completed (manually by the asker or auto-completed after 72 hours of inactivity), your share (144 or 224 credits) is recorded as earnings with a status of "earned."
3. Payout requested: You can request a payout from your Earnings page once your accumulated earnings reach the minimum threshold.
4. Paid: An administrator reviews and processes your payout request. Once approved and paid, the earnings are deducted from your wallet and the payout is marked as complete.

Payout Process

To request a payout, navigate to your Earnings page and click "Request Payout." Payouts are reviewed by the BeeBridge team and processed manually. We aim to process payout requests within 7 business days. Payment methods and minimum payout thresholds may vary by region and will be communicated to you during the payout process.

Expired and Cancelled Consultations

If a paid consultation expires (the expert does not respond within 72 hours) or is cancelled by the asker before completion, no earnings are recorded for the expert. The asker's locked credits are returned to their available balance.

Important Notes

• Earnings are recorded in BeeBridge credits. The payout conversion rate is 1 credit = $0.10 CAD.
• You are responsible for any tax obligations arising from your earnings on BeeBridge. BeeBridge does not withhold taxes on expert payouts.
• BeeBridge reserves the right to withhold or reverse earnings in cases of fraud, abuse, or violation of our Terms of Use.
